SHAPING YOUR EYEBROWS

Your eyebrows can totally change your look.

You should work with your natural brow shape, and don’t over or under tweeze.

Don’t go for a brow style that cannot be created from the brows you have.

Some of us have highly arched, or slightly arched brows. Others have flat shaped brows with no arch at all.

To find the placement of your brows and in turn balance your face.

• Hold up a thin brush at side of your nose.
  
  
• Where it runs into the eyebrow is where your brow should start.
  
  
• Unless you have a wider nose, in this case you would go into the crease of the nostril at side of the nose.
  
  
• If hairs are too far in past this first point, it can give the illusion that your eyes are close set, so tweeze hairs out.
  
  
• If the start of your eyebrows are further out past this point, it can make your eyes appear wide set. In this case use shadow or a pencil to draw them in closer together for balance.

Now you have found your starting point

• Still holding your brush at side of nose, turn brush outwards pointing towards the end of your brow.
  
  
• It should run side of nose, end of eye, and end of brow.
  
  
• If the end of your brow finishes beyond this point you may need to take off some hairs.
  
  
• If your brow hair finishes before this point, you may need to fill in with pencil or powder and extend the brow to where it should finish, again to balance your face.

Now you have these two points you need to see where the arch should be

• Look into a mirror, at the spot where the colour of your iris meets the outer white of your eye.
  
  
• Directly up from this is about where the arch should be.
  
  
• Two thirds in from the start of the brow and one third in from the outer end of brow.
  
  
• Use a white pencil to draw over hairs you want removed, this way you will see how your new brow looks before you start to tweeze.
  
  
• Now tweeze out any pencil-whitened hairs, leaving your new shape.
  
  
• Fill in any sparse areas of your new brow shape to perfectly frame your face.
