Large eyeshadow brush is used when applying one colour, like a base colour, all over the eye area, from the lsahline to the eyebrow.Small eyeshadow brush is used when applying color to certain smaller areas of the eye, for example the socket or lashline.

Blending brush is a softer fluffier brush, which is used to blend your eyeshadows or concealers. You want to blend the colors, so they dissapear into the skin, not see any had lines or edges.
Powder brush is a large rounded brush used for applying powder or bronzer to the face or body.
Blush brush is specially designed for applying blush to the cheek area and or powder to the face. The compact head holds more powder than a large powder brush, which gives more dense coverage, thus setting your foundation.
Foundation brush is a compact, chisel head brush used to apply and blend foundation. It can also be used to apply and blend cream blush into the cheeks, for a more natural finish.
Eyeliner brush can be a thin pointed brush or angle head tacklon-fibre brush both apply liquid liner clean and sharp.
Lip brush is a small head natural hair brush, or a flat end or cat tongue, taklon fibre brush, both give smooth clean lip lines.
Silk latex free sponges are used to apply foundation and blend products, use a dampened sponge to glide foundation onto skin, dry spongeʼs can drag product across your skin.
Powder puffs give a heavier application of powder, when and if you want a very matte powdered finish.
All good tools cost money, so invest in the best you can afford, good brushes will last for years if looked after properly.
